Every story begins with an act of observation. What we notice, what we overlook, and the connections we choose to make shape the narratives we come to believe.

My work investigates this process through painting and low-relief sculpture. Fragments, repeated imagery, and familiar scenes become opportunities to examine how meaning is constructed rather than discovered. Observation isn't passive; it is an act of editing that transforms perception into narrative. Rather than presenting fixed stories, the work invites viewers to question how images become evidence, how repetition changes interpretation, and how easily the familiar can shift toward the imagined.

What do you begin to invent when you look closely enough?
